Younghun Kim

After receiving a B.F.A from Hong-Ik University, Younghun Kim went to the University of London’s Goldsmiths College and later earned an M.F.A from Chelsea College of Arts at the University of the Arts London. Between 2000 and 2002, he completed time as an artist in residence at Atelier Samsung in Paris, followed by a one-year artist-in-residence program at the Höherweg Studio in Düsseldorf, Germany. Kim has held solo exhibitions in France’s Issy-les-Moulineaux and at the Höherweg 271 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Since returning to Korea in 2009, he has continued to have solo shows at museums such as Sungkok, ZAHA, Space K and Gail. He has presented his works at art fairs and group exhibitions that took place at museums in Norway, Germany, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and the United States,...

Biography

His work is held in collections at Bank of America, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Korea, Kolon Group, ZAHA Museum, Sungkok Museum, The Arts Club in London, Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, and the Pulmuone Group.
