Hyein Lee

Hyein Lee uses sketches to show contexts in and out of the art world, and especially deals with themes that relate to memory/reality, comedy/life, emptiness/fulfillment, presence/absence, and also inside/outside. Getting away from working inside art studio, Lee has generally worked outside and tried to depict the whole atmosphere that the nature implies on the canvas, moved away from simply describing what she has physically seen. Hyein Lee graduated from Seoul National University and her current exhibition includes Golden Tree Company, Gallery KICHE, Seoul (Solo, 2016), Unswallowable, Doosan Gallery, Seoul (Group, 2016), Artist File 2015: Next Doors, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul (Group, 2015), etc.

Biography
