Biography

Byungjong Kim sings the song of life from outside the boundary of life. Kim and I are both fellow supporters of “life.” He is an artist of the highest caliber that the city of Namwon has produced….. His return to hometown pays homage to the city that is the roots of his artistic inspiration. In times when the sanctity of life seems to be losing its meaning, Kim breathes life back into the world with a single brushstroke, and reminds us of the values that we must cherish to the end. If not for Kim, those paintings embodying the Korean spirit would not have had the opportunity to be exhibited in France…. No other portrayal of Jesus, not even the greatest masterpieces of Western art, has touched my heart in the way that Kim’s work has.
